Stone Fruit S’mores

Masego Mbonyana, Nectarines, Peaches

Serves: 6

Ingredients

  • 3 ripe peaches or nectarines, cut into thick wedges
  • 200 g marshmallows (about 18–20)
  • 150g milk or dark chocolate slabs or chunks
  • 24 tennis biscuits
  • Wooden or metal skewers

Method

  1. Lightly braai stone fruit wedges over medium heat until warmed through and slightly
    caramelized. Set aside.
  2. Thread marshmallows onto skewers and toast over hot coals, turning until golden and
    soft.
  3. Assemble s’mores by sandwiching a piece of chocolate, a braaied stone fruit wedge and
    a toasted marshmallow between two biscuits.
  4. Press gently and allow chocolate to melt before serving warm.
