Roasted Plums Topped with Rose Scented Honey Cream

  • Serves 4


The Plums

  • 6 large plums halved and stones removed
  • 1 ripe yellow lemon
  • 3 Tbsps caster sugar

The Topping

  • 250 g soft mascarpone cheese
  • 1 tsp rose essence
  • 2 Tbsps honey
  • 50 g toasted almonds or pistachio nuts chopped


The Topping

  1. Gently stir the ingredients together garnish these with sensational pink sugared rose petals (optional)

The Plums

  1. Preheat oven to 180°C degrees.

  2. Place Plum halves, cut-side up, on an oven tray and sprinkle with lemon juice and caster sugar Roast the plums for 10 to 12 minutes or until the sugar is bubbling and almost fork tender.

  3. Set aside to cool.

  4. Once the plums have cooled, arrange 3 halves per person onto a serving plate, top with mascarpone and garnish with pretty pink sugared rose petals (I love to use shocking pink petals).
